Eric K. Yue is an artist and filmmaker born and raised in New York City. He began his career directing music videos with emerging musicians such as Kelela, Okaykaya, Ratking and was named by Vice Magazine one of the “Five Directors Shaping the Future of Music Videos”. He has screened his narrative and installation work at Tate Modern, Athens Film and Video Festival, New York Art and Residency Studios, David Nolan Gallery NY, Cinefamily Los Angeles, San Diego Asian Film Festival where he won “Best Short Film”. As a Cinematographer he has shot two feature films, his first being The Giant by David Raboy which had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival in 2019. His second feature A Thousand and One by A.V. Rockwell is in post-production and will be distributed by Focus Features in 2022. His work has been featured in film festivals such as Sundance, Toronto, Rotterdam, Locarno, and New York Film Festival. He has worked with Steven Miesel, Craig McDean, Tyrone Lebon, Frank Lebon, Daniel Sannwald, Columbine Goldsmith, Brianna Capozzi, FKA Twigs, & Oneohtrix Point Never. He received his BFA in filmmaking from New York University Tisch School of the Arts and MFA in Fine Art at University of Pennsylvania.
